I had an unfortunate set of draws, but I don’t think I would have a winning line here against double Ancient, even with only 2 cards in your hand, and even if I had built my Tech III last turn (I didn’t because I drew my Oathkeeper off the Tech draw). I presume that you would have broken the Tech III, which would still just leave me playing catch-up to your extensive board.

Yea, and you would have less things patrolling in my way if the tech 3 was back there.

My hand was pretty useless, for what its worth, but with Midori I was fairly confident I could break the tower and swarm whatever else you might put down.

I was pretty worried going down so far on cards would be more of a problem.

On the topic of p2 green, how do you think a line like this would play out?

@GRAG did that to me turning a Gemscout owl into Rhino.

I was playing red thankfully and I was able to bring it down but I lost Zane and two other units doing so.

As P1 White usually has Grave out, and maxband Grave deals with Rhino pretty easily. If Grave is out, you’re trading 2 cards and 4g for 6g, and your opponent gets a maxbanded hero into the bargain. If Grave has already midbanded, it’s even worse. It also requires drawing both your techs in your T3 hand (and CoL isn’t a great spell after the early game). If I were going to try this, I suspect it would probably work better as P1.

2 cards and 4g and making sure Midori is out. So potentially all 6 gold you have on p2t3. It isn’t as appealing as it sounds at first I think.

I have the vague idea that if green invests more heavily into early game (skipping workers?) it might be able to find an edge due to alternate income and alternate paths to T2.
