Any defence I can bring out gets Prynn’d, or murdered by Hyperions / Trycs

This is not looking like a good MU…

I’m not purporting to have all the answers here, but a couple comments on the last couple games:

  • Birds are still hard for him to deal with and provide you good value
  • Vines are definitely a good tech but maybe wait another turn or two
  • Might be worth a Versatile Style to get rid of Battle Suits
  • The toughest part of this matchup seems to be that you lack good end-game options against Prynn. White usually uses Ultimates (FDS/Earthquake), but that’s super risky against OS, or Oathkeeper / GNinjas, but both of those are tough against Prynn max. I think Ninjutsu Tech 2 is still probably the correct play, but I’d try Porcupines, as they shut down Soldier strats pretty well and are cheap enough that Prynn trashing them isn’t a terrible trade for you. Leave Glorious Ninja + perhaps a Hidden Ninja floating in the deck (or maybe FDSchool has a place in this matchup? it’s a uniquely un-assimilate-able building option for you).

I’d suggest a rough tech plan of:

Birds + Sparring Partner (or Twins if P2)
Porcupine + X (Vines or Martial Mastery as P2, Twins if P1?)
Porcupine + Fox’s Den School
Glorious Ninja + Speed of the Fox
Fill in with a spell and another unit

Level Rook and Grave slowly to try and make good trades, use Twins to get around the bouncing.

Unless I get a Tower, but it does take more effort then any other building (and it is arguable it is not worth assimilating, as it’s effect is not that great for me).

Yea I didn’t mean totally unable, just why would you go to the effort when it doesn’t really benefit you :wink:

Because letting your opponent make most of his units invisible is incredibly scary, and 3 gold and a card to effectively trash it is not actually a bad trade.
