EDIT: @codexnewb I think your turn 3 was too aggressive. you mostly traded even on board, but gave me patrol bonuses as well. Ignoring Jania damage, it was 3 gold and 2 cards for 3 gold and a card. Given that it didnt forward your board state (I was still happy to build a tech 2 next turn.), Im not sure it was the best play. Same with the following turn, you gave up your hand so your tech 2 was not actually problematic.

Itās so odd that going first as red against purple is so hard, because normally, im very comfortable playing as player one. That game was much better given i drew GPT when i needed him. but turn 5 was pretty weak for me. Now + Argo is quite powerful given the haste and readiness.
Drak wouldnt be able to get through Mox as SQL without midbanding him. Zane wouldnāt survive if you use battlesuits for same reason. Thatās what i was thinking.
Yeah. That might be partly due to the fact that as purple, Iām very comfortable going second. I find purple is a weird mix of tempo. They have some very high tempo turns (TD + Hyperion/Tricyleoid), which most decks canāt survivie, so you have to blow up tech 2 regularly/kill them before this (full on base race has been effective against me when Red is going first). But at the same time, they can have a lot of incremental value from cards that are difficult to deal with (Mox, Nullcraft, Battlesuits etc). So another possible strat against them is a single decisive blow before they can perform their combo (your tech 2 blood was generally very good at this, but I think you waited too long before finishing me off in a few games, so I slowly crawled my way back in with incremental advantage. A few Ember Sparks as a base/tech building finisher might be a good idea.

Thoughts
I need to do a better job at taking board control with early game. Iāll tech Lobbers first, and patrol everything in technician starting turn two. Iāll use Drakās mid to boost my units that I have to trade units. It will be tough to trade 2 cards for 1 when i attack him, so Iāll have to be strategic with attacking. Iām fie with him teching stewardess of the undone, but Argo will be tough, but Mid Drak will let me trade two lobbers for argo, winning a gold and losig on a card.
