[MMM1] WARM-UP: BLUE (Nekoatl) vs BLACK (FrozenStorm)

I’m less enthusiastic about this idea than I was initially, for a few reasons:

Newsman can be put in the Elite slot with a Mirror Illusion or 2 in the play area to soak a potential Sacrifice, and trading a Sacrifice for a Mirror advantages the Blue player even if Black avoids sacrificing one of his own units. One Mirror Illusion is also gained for free when summoning Quince, which is already a tempting option when spells are a concern due to his Free Speech.

Trading a Sacrifice for a Newsman is an even trade if the Black player can avoid sacrificing a unit and if the Blue player doesn’t have anything in play that triggered off of playing the Newsman, but is to the Blue player’s advantage otherwise.

The Blue player may actually want the Black player to make him sacrifice the Newsman, to cost the opponent $2 he can’t afford, to force the opponent to sacrifice something, to protect a stronger unit, and/or to allow a different choice on what cost the Newsman will block.
