I don’t think a series of games between us will contain any useful information about the purple-blue match-up. I’ve seen you play in some other threads, and though like to say you get lucky draws - you also tend to draw your entire deck so you must be doing something right. In any case, we can continue to mess around with this for a while longer. GL HF!!

Thoughts

I decided not to take out the mirror so as not to give him a tech draw. I wonder if I should patrol with Fargo but it seems like that just gives him a target for arrest. It’s less likely he’ll try to arrest the mox when he’s in lookout and the only way he can attack, I think, is using manufactured truth on his mirror to make into fargo/mox.

Ok, I think this actually works - this was a difficult turn to get right!

It involves a slightly unintuitive play regarding readiness though. If a unit with Readiness attacks, it doesn’t exhaust, and if it then loses Readiness it can attack again (at least, I think that’s how it works anyway - if you want to wait for community consensus, I’m pretty sure it will come up in the What’s the Play I posted…)

To be honest, codex’s main weakness for me is those convoluted corners of rules. I don’t understand the logic of copying and much about it is counterintuitive to me. If you use Manufactured Truth on a Spectral Aven to copy a Brave Knight, the director remembers whether it had arrival fatigue but becomes a tech 1 unit. But it’s still an illusion (or is that only about mirrors?). Mirrors are no longer mirror illusions so they can’t copy again but they are still mirror illusions for the limit of illusions. And they are still illusions even if they copy non-illusion cards but they are no longer tech 0 cards (or are they?). So I take it that it’s fine the card is not exhausted when you copy it, and that it doesn’t have readiness - but somehow, it would still have arrival fatigue (which is attacked to a card), and it would carry all the damage, and if it does remember that it had already attacked so that if it copied something that had readiness it would not be able attack as fresh - I really just don’t understand what’s the reasoning here and how are we supposed to know what’s going on with copying other than memorizing a bunch of distinct rulings.
