No Newsman, Inspector or Aven in the opening hand. I guess I’ll go with Director and a hero, although Battlesuits + Nullcraft can kill a hero in SQL, while leaving enough gold for tech 1. No free levels, though, so it could be worse.
Fair luck. I like it. I actually think that by definition luck is fair but that’s just because there’s no such thing as good luck and bad luck, but just plain dumb luck as well as well-made gambles.

I’m going down a card to stay ahead on board. I’ll tech Scribe and Brave Knight to get my hand size back up. That’ll leave me with a few different options for next turn: with the scav gold I can afford tech 2 + Knight, without it I can get tech 2 + Scribe, or Bigby to stash the Knight. And if I really need to fight for the board I can maxband Quince and Mirror-copy the Knight.

I’m teching Elite Training to allow my mostly 3/3 units to stand up to HolyTispon’s current and future (well, technically Past :P) 4 HP units. Also getting a 2nd Air Hammer over a 2nd Spy, since the latter seems easier to counter.
With that out of the way, let’s get the Scribe draw and see what happens!

Hmm, Spy opens up some interesting options. In fact, with HolyTispon floating 1, I can make a Mirror Spy and still afford a worker by stealing! That’s pretty neat. I’ll hit his tech 2 for a chance to break it next turn.

No tech 2’s in HolyTispon’s hand yet, though he might draw into them with Temporal Research. The more urgent thing, though, is stopping him from killing Quince to get rid of my fake Spy. I guess I’ll just chump block with Scribe and Director, since he can’t afford to bounce/trash both of them.
I expect he’ll bounce one guy, kill another, and build a tower. Then I’ll probably play and mirror-copy an Air Hammer, while breaking his tech 2 to keep him off effective air blocking.
This was a very dumb gamble…
