Thoughts

I see discord being very useful in this matchup. I can probably stick with a tech 2 peace plan and just plan to be bigger than his growth or blood plans. Of course, Art of War could be a very good option too. I think I am going to try to get to tech 2 first, so going with cheap blockers that should do some damage.

Ugh, I don’t like my next hand…

Ok, so I wont be getting through that boulder this turn no matter what. I could maxband Oni and recover my hand size. but get no Tech 2. It would also deal some essentially free damage to the boulder. If I was him I would be going growth and get a bloodlust and Molac activated as quickly as possible. With Oni, I could just threaten Art of War repeatedly to maybe lock out Molac and bypass his boulder entirely. However, the chances are really low that I would get an Art of War in hand next turn. So I think I will save the art of war tech for next turn and put out a lot of damage now.

OK, so no Molac. Interesting. I guess that means barbarbarian and dinosize and maybe he breaks tower for tech Lab growth. and possibly bloodlust. However, I have left a decent amount of firepower so I am feeling pretty good. If I am lucky I will get Flagstone or Art of War in my next hand, but odds are pretty terrible. I will probably summon River if I get discord. at least there are a good variety of options.

Thoughts

I have to decide between drakk and tech 2. If I get Drakk then there is only makeshift rambasada and charge to attack me. charge is the problem, it means he can have a hasty 5/5 barb. If I hit tech 2, then I just have tech 0 most likely, or a boulder, hasted by Drakk. That is 3 or 4 damage and then Drakk could attack. I think I will gamble with Oni in front, assuming anything less than a boulder would die trying to kill Oni. I am regretting some of my worker choices. I should have been more willing to get rid of Bloom in favor of keeping units to power flagstone, and now I am stuck with a bad worker choice.

And of course I get art of war next hand, so Oni is either dead or I get to do more breaking.

Your hand size is confusing me. You had 4, i killed a wisp, you shuffled 6 into your deck and drew 1, 5/5/3 then you played 2 and made a worker, discard 2, draw 4 to end up with 4/1/7 not 4/0/9

Sigh, that gamble didn’t work, I should have put River in front, would have been just as much defense. Now I am left unable to break his stuff… But at least I can break drakk, which is very important if he has Barbarian in hand. I expect him to flood the board next turn with Rook/Arg and just be a general nuisance. If he did put down Barb, at least it cant be hasted, and I have a mirror to capitalize on it, so at least there is that. Degrey could ruin that party a bit, but I can live with that, at least I would get a card draw.

Oathkeepers going in as a finisher, but the moment he plays his tech 3 (this turn is my bet), I have no answer unless I luckily draw my entangling vines, AND he patrols it (not likely). I’m not sure if killing your board/Cadets is a good thing to do, as I’m sure you probably can replay them this turn, but I need to kill you next turn, and this seems like the best way.
