This was a wasteful, inefficient turn that killed a lot of stuff. Seems fitting for the Anarchs.

Yeah, I concede. I was never able to get momentum, and you played really solid defense. Nice use of the Plasmodium, I basically never use that thing.
To be honest it was my only play at that point, soā¦ I wouldnāt know how useful it is, generally speaking.
Red would be much better on the offense Iām sure. Thing is, I donāt really know which starter decks are good on the defense. Purple, seems okay, but what do you think is THE best color for going second?
You can go first next game with Red, to get a better feel of the color, if you want. Iād probably play Black.
Purple, as you say, seems solid on defense, especially with the Mox. Green is good too, and can build up a ridiculous economy with some luck. Blue also seems better on defense than offense.
Sure, Iāll stay with Red. Red vs. Blackā¦nothing survives more than a turn.

OK, I give up. Thereās no way Iāll come back now.
Black had a considerate advantage after that early turn, and I donāt know how things appeared from your perspective, but from main: I was always on edge, because of how explosiveness Red is.
What continues to trouble me is how many game end in the first 5-6 turns. Iāve played about 10-15 matches physically before you started playing with me, and weāve never reached a point where Base HP mattered. Matches were just too swingy. The only HP our bases suffer is from the destroying of Tech buildings, or the occasional bleed-off damage from Blood spec.
Granted, me and my local players arenāt great at the game, yet, but we very rarely get to play with Tech 2 units for more than a turnā¦
That said, Iām having plenty of fun, so thanks for playing. Iām super pumped by how many turns weāve manged to produce in the past few days
I would definitely keep playing if you are interested.
True, itās very easy to score a knockout blow early on, and reach a point where the game isnāt over, but it feels futile to continue. Of course, so much depends on the specsā¦a Blue/Blue match can take a long time. Red is certainly explosive, but they arenāt good at taking a punch.
Iāll go another match, planning to switch to Green. Which may or may not involve ninja-Calamandra.
I donāt think I have ever played a game where base HP mattered out of a few dozen games. Both me and my usual opponent play control oriented games where itās usual to have one or the other of us concede when the opponent has too high of a positional advantage.
The wins are secured when one person is at tech 2+ and the other wonāt ever have a tech building or hero survive the turn again for the rest of the game.
The greatest potential for the opponent to come back and win is when they have surviving units and tech buildings. Our win condition is just to prevent them from getting back into the game. We donāt even consider base racing a thing.
Give me some time to choose a deck please. Iād like to try a specific plan this time rather than justā¦ play new stuff.
Do you have a preference for first or second?
@Raiddinn - yeah, our experiences matche pretty closely. Watching people play in the forum have made me realize that I might have given on game that could have potentially be turned out due to me trying to play too much on tempo. But yeah, since most high-level stuff requires a Tech building or a living hero, itās pretty much impossible to play from behind.
Ok, Iām ready to play some more games if you are still around Iām going Blue, for kicks. Rolled 30.
