If I’m reading this right, you still need to draw your new hand - that is, draw your T2 hand at the end of T1, just as you do in your draw/discard phase in your first turn in a real game - before the spreadsheet will give you the correct output.
I’m pretty sure “Discard/Draw” is only for subsequent turns. Your initial hand is dealt when you click “Start Game”. And so it did, for me, I can see 5 cards listed in the “Hand” area on the State tab, it’s just that in the Generated template tab, those cards appear as “Next Hand” and “Current Hand” is empty.
I delete the file, made another copy out of the original link, still the same. Weird.
At the end of the turn, you need to click Discard/Draw. This is accurate to the rules for the physical Codex game, since the discard/draw step happens before the opponent’s turn. When you click it, the post template will be generated automatically: you won’t need to click the Generate Post button most of the time. The latter is mostly there as a backup in case something goes wrong.
@zhavier, maybe this ought to be made clearer next time you update the sheet?
The tool is great. It’s just that some people, like myself, are… confused, let us say That said, I’ll throw in some suggestions on the “on-boarding” process at the spreadsheet’s main thread. Thanks, once again.
@IsotopeX, I’ve fixed my first turn post. You can continue.
Ah, pff, sorry. Since I selected the specs in the spreadsheet I assumed you knew as well.
[Demonology]/Bashing/Necromancy. It ended up not a multicolor deck, mostly because I’ve never played Black in the first place, so I shied away from multi-coloring. Bashing is there, instead of Decease, just for kicks.
I had a minor problem with the Generate post and I needed to do a manual correction. Last turn, since I discarded only 2 cards, I drew 4 and naturally 1 card remained in the “Deck”. After I finished my actions for this turn and clicked the “Discard/Draw” button, in the Generate post code, the card appeared under my “Starting Hand” as a 5th card, where I should have had only 4. I just deleted that card’s entry by hand in the post.
Do you “delete” the cards from the “Hand” column when you play/discard/worker them?

Thoughts
I have no idea if this strategy will work but the play looks flashy. I’m down to 2 cards, no Tech I, and no defenders. I pray you didn’t tech in basilisks, or that I get a unit to patrol with or a spell to kill it.
This will most certainly suck I still have a few shots left but it mostly depends on what you draw, and what you discard (Imp) this turn. I’m off to be now, until tomorrow!
Yes, any cards you play should no longer be in the “hand” section. I’d recommend something like cutting and pasting rather than actually deleting and retyping each card, but as long as every card you play leaves your hand and appears in the correct zone, it should be fine no matter what.
You probably understand that by now, but I thought I’d go ahead and answer since no one else had!

There’s no coming back, my only plan was to go all or nothing after that early play. I felt that momentum can carry me over.
My only regret is that I made a very huge noobish mistake by tech-ing both Dark Pacts (which could have allowed me to come back from “running out of gas”), where I should have tech-ed in just 1, so I could fetch the other with my midband Vandy. Other than that, I was cool with losing, so long as I could see it for myself what happens when someone pulls a move like that.
All and all, sorry for not entertaining you with a decent challenge.
I’d like to play more. Is there any particular match-up that interests you?
Good game! I figured you were going all in on Vandy, which is why I went more aggressive in that last turn to kill her. Figured if things kept going I could use Cala to generate tigers. It was lucky on my part that I had Forest’s Favor in that turn, which allowed me to push Calamandra enough to kill Vandy and survive herself. When you ganked my entire board in turn 2, I thought it was over.
I’ll switch to Mono-Blue, I want to try a spec I’ve never played…which means I fully intend to lose badly.
