My Thoughts
Yup, took a lot of cards but I can lock him off my ninjas! He’s floating a boat-load so he’ll be able to Kidnap + Bloodlust Drakk and whatever his technician is, but I’ll still have both ninjas invisibly ready to strike!
ill gg it there. that was the strategy i was trying to pull off, just didnt cycle it as well. i think ill need a break after all these trouncings. thanks for playing!
GG WP! The Ninja Strat almost did work for you, too. That game was tough for me!
In this game, I think if you’d gone crashbarrows or gliders first instead of bugblatters, you would have had me. It was nerve-wracking trying to figure out how best to patrol and spend gold to keep the edge!
Totally understand wanting a break, let me know if you wanna pick things back up otherwise hope all outside the virtual table!

Thoughts
Grave and Sensei, the classic agro opening. Not sure if I can safely bring out a hero at the moment. Dropping building inspectorand just going for rewards. aven can hit his hero moving forward.
newsman and traffic director hopefully next turn, along with quince.
Stupid Aven… Going Bird’s nest and Sparring Partner, safe attacking eliminates the Inspector without issue, he’ll kill Sensei to trade back, and hopefully I draw birds (best case I draw both!). If I miss on either, I’ll lay Monk or Smoker and level Grave to just trade well or something.
…
Got both, woo!. That should be productive for next turn and shutting down the damn Aven.
Since he’s going to have thise heavy hitting hero’s, i think Brave Knight and a Cadet or Free Speech combo should work nicely.
TD is a good patroller as he is untargetable, that elminates all but SH.
going cadet and knight, basically i think i need to have good trades all game to make a comeback against his hero’s rush. definnitely eliminating 2 cost spells becaus eof birds. that should give me some solid value from aven for the next turn or two.
not patroller illusion just in case i get manufactred truth and i can double aven on a hero.
Didn’t think about Newsman, combined with TD in the way and I’m super-fucked right now… MTruth is going to get a kill, so I might as well try to maximize my benefit out of that. I don’t want Rook out b/c I want to lay birds as soon as I get them. Teching up might be the smart way to handle this, but I’m going to try to maximize ground tempo and go Twins. Not sure that’s the right call but not sure how else to approach…

My Thoughts
Well, I’m pretty stoutly abandoning my primary strategies for dealing with Aven with this move… Which isn’t great. I’m almost hoping for him to go after Sets now. However, if he doesn’t I suppose that isn’t the worst thing for me to have her able to be maxbanded. I kind of want to tech up AND lay either Birds or Twins next turn, so I’m going to throw smoker in front and hope he either kills Smoker or Sets with an MTruth. Going Discipline b/c Training Grounds just feels so right, and I can fall back on YLD to deal with the Aven if I can’t get Birds down (and now can’t use a sword…)

ugh, how did i miss that? this is why im not good at codex. well, im not sure if there was a way to avoind it anyways. not my fault i go for quince to use MFT, and i wiff it. but i should have probably gone oni to threaten more board clear.
well, bigby to stash the garrison i have (should have thought of that sooner). garrison next turn, maybe a free speach if i can
