Thoughts On Gameplan

I’m going for a standard Midori rush, so I played two units without abilities ! I didn’t worker the flagbearer in case he’s going for Doom Grasp. Thieving Imp makes me think he’s more going to a gameplan with Plague Spitter and/or Sickness, maybe followed by Tech II Sickness ? Mono-Black have problems to deal with upgrades, so MoL&C can be ok. I’d prefer to go to Tech II Bashing because Hired Stompers can OS Plague Spitters and Crows, and I love Ducks. Ducks can hit tech buildings (so sad, Brick Thief is on worker…), Plague Lab, Base… And Add-Ons ! Surprise break of Tech Lab just before Zarramonde arrives looks so tempting :open_mouth:
I teched two Gemscout Owls because I really need money to midband Midori. I’m low on cards, Midori’s maxband may help. Anyway, money can buy Surplus. And Moment’s Peace spellcaster loves Surplus <3

Shucks, I was checking if it was on lookout, but forgot the innate resist.

Well, while I’m at it, I might as well deteriorate Tenderfoot. Just because I don’t feel like wasting a card. :wink:

I will forego redrawing because Deteriorate would have entered the draw pile (after reshuffling) either way. That should be according to guidelines.

He still can neutralize my Midori with some cards, but Owl protecting my units from StW, Flag from Shadow Blade and Tenderfoot from the Overpower of Baron… Yeah that’s nice ! When I have the board advantage, Growth is generally a good idea :slight_smile:

For future reference - you should have re-done your draw here. We always re-draw after changing a turn, even if it looks like it wouldn’t matter, for two reasons:

  1. So any decisions made about the new turn aren’t influenced by what the next hand is
  2. So there isn’t a choice between “oh, my new hand is bad so I’ll re-draw / my new hand is good, so I’ll pick a course of action that will let me keep it”

It appears, you have actually already redone your turn. The “edit” info was confusing me. So you basically just discarded one more card, right?
