Thoughts

Bloodburn really puts illusions in a bad spot, and Blue seems to lack ways to deal with an upgrade. Either way, we can safely punt for a turn and Spectral Hound is just value.

The real question is what to name with Newsman. I’m assuming they teched spells because they left Tech I dead on board. The spells it makes sense for opp to tech are ember sparks, surprise attack, and maybe kidnapping. Kidnapping isn’t a serious threat on this board. Fire spells are all too expensive to come back from going shields down like this. If they do cast Ember Sparks, they’ve spent their entire turn and I just crack back to kill everything. Therefore I’m gonna name 5 and roll the dice. Surprise Attack + Zane is a potential 2 for 1, plays well with Bloodburn, and seems like a good way to come back on board. :crossed_fingers:

Great read, oof. I think surprise attack would have been the wrong play this turn anyway, which is worth keeping in mind in the future. Lizzos deal with the L5 Oni better than Steam Tanks in a land of injunctions, boot camps, and arrests.
