My Thoughts
This is why I go out of my way to make Grave as obnoxious to kill as possible. Martial Mastery is busted. This game gets a lot easier once I know what I’m playing around and when I can draw my answers all the faster. It is technically possible for UV to kill Grave next turn, but they’d have to go down a card, give me my card back, and spend their entire turn doing it, while my remaining board presence sweeps up their remaining board presence.

My Thoughts
And as I said last turn, the board position is now clearly in my favor. Admittedly teching in the Grappler prematurely was a bit of an error, but I plan on building Tech II Strength as soon as I’m able anyway, and thus far, it seems that I was not punished for my mistake.
Oh damnit. I realized I messed up the spreadsheet again by not putting cards back to discard. Now my decks smaller than yours and I have once again messed up the game.
I can’t seem to backtrack in my spreadsheet once I draw/discard, which seems good to prevent abuse, but also makes it hard to correct mistakes
I have to say that I can’t understand the appeal of using that spreadsheet on mobile devices . . .
Anyway, do you want to try again? FWIW, I do have the means of clearing your board again while still building my Tech II, and all it would cost me is my Ninja and going down a card.
I’m down to try again, but I am implementing a checklist that I need to adhere to. You should start this one cause I’m at work.
And I knew you had me for a while now. That martial mastery move was pretty dirty, gave me nothing to work with after that. You just kept me from having any units out and I had gone a fairly offensive strat

It is possible, but obnoxious, for UV to kill Grave in this position. If Grave dies, getting the revenge kill(s) will be trivial, and I will once more be up on board position.

Okay, played out basically the best I expected. I realize changing up my patrol a bit and getting the scavenger instead of technician would have been far better. Ugh. At least Cal is out and I think safe until next turn.

Nice. Like my setup. Next turn I should be able to easily tech 2 and keep up, then I’ll hopefully pull out the untargetable deathtouch basalisks
Just so you know, Ferocity only applies to your units that are in play when it takes effect. But, since this doesn’t affect matters too much, I’ll assume you played the Cub first like you intended.
Discord for if they go wide, Grappler for if they go tall, Grave guaranteed next turn to attempt to dig for either option. Hopefully I can stop this situation from spiraling too far out of control too fast.

I think I need to pass on a worker to have enough money for what I need. Shouldn’t throw me off from tech 3 timing I don’t think. Timely messenger means wandering mimic will get haste so I got that coming hopefully. Flagbearer worked out great for taz.

My Thoughts
Grappler it is, then. I can see that they’re going for a Wandering Mimic-based gameplan; interesting choice. They have Ferocity this turn, which would totally destroy me . . . if I didn’t have Granfalloon Flagbearer redirecting their buff effects. As it is, it’s looking like Grave’s going to preoccupy Calamandra while Grappler eats the Panda and gets eaten by the Predator Tiger.
. . . unfortunately it’s looking like I drew into my worst possible hand for the cycle. Rook, River, and Tower incoming I guess.
I didn’t want to blow discord too much for people with notifications on so I will respond here.
I had a couple avenues to get at base with tiger. I was lucky in that I could actually kill whitestar with only Calamandra after the sparkshot. Midori comes out and midbands won’t give my units +1 because Calamandra gives them resist, so I think that made me short for your idea. Your flagbearer sure limited my options though, and to be honest I hadn’t really seen flagbearers used effectively before.
Anyway, good match. Kept waiting to see discord the spell come out. You would wrecked me with that as it would have gotten you past my swift strike tiger/panda.
I’d teched in Discord and Grappler the previous turn to cover my options for whether you opted for Tigers or for Murkwood Allies. Since you opted for Tigers I teched in a second Grappler and basically a throwaway Doubling Barbarbarian, but I ended up drawing neither of those regardless, so I was screwed if next turn didn’t go down precisely as I planned it.
So easy to forget Haste’s presence after the hasted unit’s already in play. How utterly disappointing. Thing is, I saw the potential for Mimic even before I used Martial Mastery (it was either that or Big Boi Basilisk, after all, for Balance Tech II), but the entirety of my turn I was like, “Mimic is not a threat because nothing on their board has Haste”. I even double-checked all of your freaking cards for the Haste keyword, just to be sure. Whoops.
Yeah, Flagbearer actually really came in clutch there. That you didn’t kill him the previous turn was a major source of relief for me, as you wouldn’t get to surprise me with Dinosize shenanigans or whatnot.
I don’t even know what I’m doing with this post apart from stream of consciousness. It’s really frustrating that, even when done asynchronously, it’s still so easy to botch something up.
I was thinking dinosize Calamandra and I’m halfway done with your base in one turn, but flagbearer had me abandon that start. Then I just got pissed I couldn’t take advantage or rampant growth again.
Potent basalisk still would have been damn hard for you to deal with. Swift strike deathtouch is not nice.
