GG well played, are you some sort of grandmaster at this game? :wink: What would you say were my key errors?

I think I should not have skipped a worker, but your board presence was worrying me. Should I not have been overly concerned at that?

Think the main mistakes you’ve been making in these games are doing trades that are too expensive.

eg on your T4 this game you paid $8 + Lobber + level 3 Jaina (combined value ~$13) to kill 2 Bone Collectors + Skeleton + Garth (value ~$7, counting everything on their cost). So net you paid ~$6 to end up with a 4/3 Zane, which is dropping at least $2 in value (if you think that $4 gets a 4/4 Baron), and you’re giving me a technician draw too,

As P1 you’re dropping $1 in economy to P2 each turn, so you really need to be making trades in your favour or you’ll fall behind. I’ve mainly been benefiting from these exchanges, not doing anything so smart.

Interesting. So I probably should have patrolled that round, or previously teched in some better value removal. I was expecting that if I didn’t clear the board, you would destroy my tech buildings, however I see from what you explained that it was better value to simply defend on T4.

another thing, i kinda of disagree with ur tech choices. instead of giong all lobbers, teching some taxmen and spells would have been better and i mean spells like bloodlust for draak or chaos mirror for zane. Draak could have given haste to collectors that are better bodies and can steal gold.
PLus the fire tech choice seems odd since u did not go for a base race. must say, imo CB dragon is meh, and instead of tech III i would have aimed for firehouse (single) and hotter fire (both) asap since it destroys in one go everything the opponents play forcing bad trades to prevent it.

A small point but why do my pastes have speech marks around them (yours don’t) when I copy the cell from google sheets?

I edit them out once they’re pasted onto the forum.

I think the quotes get added if you copy the entire cell at once, whereas when I copy it on my computer I click enough to be able to highlight individual words, then select all, and that lets me copy and paste without having quotes around it (for… some reason… Best guess is that the computer thinks this is copying the words themselves as opposed to a cell and its contents). I haven’t figured out how to do that the few times I used my phone, so I manually deleted them then.
