Building Tech3, some Zane shenanigans to clear his hero+Argo. Both Gunships in the next hand, though they miss the entire next cycle if Tech3 falls. Think my patrol is enough to defend it, but teching Martial Mastery for faster cycling in case.

I know youā€™re in the process of re-thinking it, but I wanted to say Grappling Hook + Zane Max in one turn to do-si-do the Argo around Geiger and then smash him into the same spot was pretty awesome.

Just remember that Grappling Hook costs $1 if Zaneā€™s doing the casting, and since Grave is dead, I think he is.

Canā€™t safely build Tech3, but can at least break his Tech2 for a turn. Not very efficient paying up for Zane to cast 2 white spells, but better than allowing Geiger to max while playing Tech 2s. From here Iā€™ll look to build a Tower, then play Steam Tanks in Elite or Marauders in SQL for 5atk to kill Hyperions without giving the chance to flicker/recycle.

GG, I have nothing but tech 2 and geiger spells in hand, so that turn wipes me out, Grave is just a pain I canā€™t seem to counter, teching Origin story turn 3 seems to late, as by the time I draw it turn 5 grave has done the damage and I can kill him with units far more cheaply, Maybe turn 2 origin story? but that seems extreme, and playing it turn 3 doesnā€™t seem like value (5 gold and 2 cards for 4 gold), and doesnā€™t stop you just replaying grave turn 3 and giving me the same problem turn 5 etc. Maybe Iā€™m just evaluating this wrongly, but I canā€™t see how mono purple deals with early game hero pressure.

GG. The $8 and 1 card for max Grave traded against Neo Plexus in scav ($1), Argonaut in tech ($3), Fargo ($2) and a Mox attack (call that $1.5) ā€“ so something like $7.5 and 2.5 cards. With the 2 free Geiger levels you got from killing him, it was like $5.5 and 2.5 cards, so value was OK for you and donā€™t think you would have done better with Origin Story. Thought you could have killed Monk with Mox T3. And you were obviously unlucky with your T5/T6 card split.

Still, difficult matchup for Purple.

True, missed that turn 3, forgot to recheck your backline after Grave wasnā€™t patrolling anymore. Thats probably the difference there, without that monk sidelining Mox continously, I might have held on to may tech 2 last turn, which would have probably put the game in my favour (tricycleoid and hyperion clearing you board)

Yeah, I think not killing the Monk on T3 was a misplay - I remember being very surprised when you patrolled it. Makes sense if you were still in the ā€œGrave is patrollingā€ frame of mind.

If you want another game, I would like to try Past/Future/Peace (first time doing the Purple/Peace combo, and this seems more fun then anarchy)
