Lucky draw for taking out Rook here. Maybe I won’t need the Air Hammer after all. I just need 1 more damage on Setsuki next turn, and then I can afford to bounce Reputable Newsman here.
… Hmm, still no Garrison. I might have to try my luck with Lawful Search, otherwise I at least can put the Newsman back down.

I lucked out with Lawful Search drawing a Garrison, so it’s go time! Sensei’s Advice and Grappling Hook are the main things to worry about in Shadow’s hand, although it’s nice to see I stopped him getting the Earthquake + Birds combo I was worried about.
… Unfortunately, I’ve drawn a Sergeant so late that I have choose between it and Free Speech. I’ve got another Sergeant coming next turn, so I think the latter is better here so Setsuki’s no doing anything for Shadow, and there’s nothing unexpected in his hand.
In retrospect, I should have brought in some Hallucinations to deal with that Porcupine, too. Next turn.
… Oh, or I can just Arrest it. That works too for the moment.

Patriot Gryphon + Mirrors can handle Jade Fox if needs be, but with a garrison out I can afford to wait until I have a Tech III built before I tech it in. I can’t really afford Air Hammers just yet, either.
I should have cast MT on the Newsman to copy it into a Sergeant, then played the Brave Knight, then I could have destroyed the surplus this turn. Well, never mind.

I could level up Onimaru and kill everything, but Shadow can afford to hit him with Snapback and still tech up, while I’d have to skip. I’ll just stick the Newsman down to stop Grappling Hook allowing an easy midband Rook kill on Onimaru again. On second thought, Traffic Director does roughly the same for cheaper if I lead with him, and then I can get Aven rolling too.
Teching in units with decent attack values for now, one gold-cheap and one card-cheap. I want to try to go for Law this time, but I’ll wait and see how viable that looks to be. I’d want to transition to my other heroes, for Mirror copies of Juggernauts and Injunctions/Community Service. Probably the latter first for tempo.
… Think I’ll want to Lawful Search for a better worker here.
Actually, if I just worker Lawful Search, I can put down Spectral Hound and midband Onimaru to kill Rook. Or, I just trade with Onimaru to bring someone else out. I’m not sure that’s a good idea just yet, setting up a Mirror would be interesting but I need to hit Tech II as soon as I can.
Just teching in cards to keep me going later, with card draw, and Community Service because Onimaru will probably get hit with Snapback soon.
Killing Rook stops Thunderclap from killing backline illusions. Do I need to block with Building Inspector, or can I ping the base? Onimaru can be killed by Speed of the Fox and a midband Setsuki, but that’s 6 gold out of 10, so Shadow would have to skip Tech II. He can also get hit with Snapback, but there’s nothing I can do about that. OK, let’s block just in case. Actually, let’s put Onimaru in Lookout, it makes him vulnerable to Hook + Speed of the Fox, but I think Snapback is more likely.

Thoughts
I could just kill everything and tech up, but I think I’d rather midband Bigby, sideline the Partner, and destroy the Tech I. It means the Partner can come back and buff something, but it’s going to be buffing a Tech 0 or a hero that isn’t Grave, and I can deal with the former with Arrest if needs be.
… Drawing the Juggernaut kinda sucks, but I’ll be ready for the Insurance Agent to help me along. I could always go for a Gryphon if things go well.
