Sorry about the delay, but something has come up at work and my schedule the next couple days is pretty packed, so I may not be able to take my next turn until Monday.
STARTING HAND
Ironbark Treant
Young Treant
Playful Panda
Tiger Cub
Merfolk Prospector
WORKERS
Verdant Tree
Ironbark Treant
THOUGHTS
I thought about playing maxband Arg, but that seems pretty soft to arrest. I wanted to get my Tech 1 down this turn, as well as put a clock on that bird. If he has arrest here, he can break my tech 1, but that’s not terrible, because I can then maxband Arg relatively safely.

Ironbark Treant
Spore Shambler
THOUGHTS
I don’t have a good way to stop him from maxbanding Oni next turn. If he has arrest or manufactured truth, he can kill the centaur with Oni as well. I considered putting the centaur in elite instead, but then I think the play he makes is just trade midband Oni for the Centaur and develop his board, which puts me far behind. Even if he maxes Oni and gets rid of the Basilisk, then Oni at 1 health and the soldiers will die to the tower. And if he doesn’t have a spell to get rid of the Basilisk, this play is great.

THOUGHTS
I’m not particularly surprised that he decided to go for Art of War. I’m not too concerned about it though, as I can get through Oni with either Dinosize or Fairie Dragon + Tiny Basilisk. Law is an interesting choice for Tech II though. I have a pretty big board, so I need to watch out for Judgement Day. He can’t play it next turn, but it might come out on turn 6.

You’re right, The Art of War doesn’t add hp, just armor. Also, your base should be at 18 from that time I killed your Tech II.
