How is sets getting past my tinkerer? FDS makes ninja units stealthy, but not Sets herself

GG. Any advice? Also that win seemed extremely sudden. How do I keep from being blindsided like that?
Future Tech 2’s “thing” is kind of surprise massive base damage. Even without seeing the Discord, you could actually see that I had lethal on the board w/ Omegacron (who I can phase in by junking workers effectively at any time) and Xenostalker (who can paste those ninjalinos by unstoppably walking by them and dealing 1 to all of them.) Even Patrolling Grave, it was pretty likely I was going to end the game.
I don’t know this deck I’m playing well enough to know what you should be watching out for, tbh. One thing I can say is it’s hard for White to make its primary win condition maxband heroes against Past, as Origin Story makes access unreliable, and for Rook, birds are super vulnerable to Stewardess of the Undone.
I was trying out a “intentionally lose early game” strat here, hoping you would try to build pressure against it. Probably the better bet would have been to play for fast Tech 2, but I’m not totally sure.
I can say that against River, a swarm 1/1’s plan is never safe to Discord.
The best way for white to play hero strats against hard hero removal like Origin Story (or an Unphased Plasmodium ^_^) is probably to go Discipline tech 2. Training Grounds is great at keeping your heroes at constant threat. But there are no totally “safe” choices. Vir can steal them with Assimilate. If you go for big units, Prynn can trash them (Mind-Parry Monk makes this much better though, thus why Discipline T2 is probably your best bet). You have to strike a good balance and have multiple win conditions to pivot to against this deck, which is kind of why I wanted to try it.
One thing you can do to help is use Snapback “offensively”. If Prynn is what would derail your plan, but I don’t have her on the field, look for opportunities to Snapback her in and then immediately kill her.
