Have you moved a card to worker and a card to in play? Because it’s showing discard 5, draw 5, and that you have 5 cards in your discard.

If you don’t have a card in worker, it will give you the wrong amount of gold on turn 2, and obviously your draw will mess up next turn if you don’t have the right cards in discard…

@Jadiel I’m not sure about this interaction with Garth’s max-band:

I have to choose my tech on your turn just before I start my turn. Those teched cards then go to the discard right? Then can Garth’s max-band bring back a tech 1 unit (I didn’t start the turn with a tech 2 building, so I don’t think he can bring one back)?. The tricky part is my discard pile is empty, so the only thing Garth could bring back would be a card that I just teched. Is it in the discard and available on my turn?

Yes, it’s fine to use Garth maxband to summon something you teched this turn. You’re also correct that Garth can’t bring back a Tech II unit unless you started your turn with the right Tech II building completed. However, Sacrifice the Weak always targets Tech 0 units before Tech I units, so in this case it will kill Bombaster, not Lobber. You’ll need to make some edits to your turn as I don’t know how this will change what you do.

With regard to the way you’re using the spreadsheet, it’s difficult for me to tell if there’s a problem without looking at all the spoilered stuff. The only possible problem I can see is that the number of cards in circulation (i.e. in your hand, deck, discard or play) should increase by 1 every turn (assuming you always worker, which you have done). On turn 1 you had 9 cards (correct), on turn 2 you had 10 (correct), on turn 3 11 (correct), but on turn 4 you only have 10 cards in circulation (5 in hand, 3 in deck and 2 in play), which may mean something has gone wrong. As I said though, it’s difficult to tell what without looking at spoilers. In the turn 5 you posted, you’re back to 12 cards in circulation again, which is correct, so maybe you’ve sorted the problem.

Alright @Jadiel , well luckily I had Deteriorate in hand, so my turn is mostly the same except I only draw up to 4 cards. I’ve edited it but left the old turn. Sorry for any mistakes using the spreadsheet! I think it’s been mostly OK, but I have gotten confused about the tech cards because of the way you can take your entire turn then realize what you set out to tech was dumb, and so forth.

Yes, you do need to be honest with the Tech cards if your turn involves drawing from your deck (e.g. Garth midband). If you’re not drawing cards though, it’s fine to plan your turn, then realise what you teched was dumb and go back and change it. Takesie Backsies is one of the features of the PbF medium :slight_smile:

@Jadiel haha, yeah it’s mostly trying to figure out the tech cards and the discard. I’ve started writing ??? in both tech fields after I finish a turn to signify I need to fill those fields in before I start the next turn now. I am also playing the game with the physical cards, not just the spreadsheet so I can easily fix mistakes in the deck. For instance next turn 1 of my tech cards is not appearing in the deck, I can see I tech’d it on a previous turn but it is not present at all. Weird.

Hero’s hall takes a turn to build, just like a tech building, so you can’t build it and immediately summon another hero. If you build Hero’s Hall this turn, you’ll be able to summon a second hero next turn.

Oh, I was under the impression you could build hero’s hall and then summon a second hero. I was also under the impression that as soon as you started building your tech 2 building, you could summon a second hero. Hmmm.

You’re welcome to check in the rules thread, but I’m pretty sure you don’t get any benefits from tech buildings or addons until the end of the turn where you start building them
