Thoughts

Morningstar Flagberer is good against Growth, but it’s also expensive… and I can largely defend against targeted spells by using Carrion Curse. I’d rather keep all these cards, but I have to sacrifice one to become a worker, and I think the Flagbearer is the best choice.

Thoughts

Playing Finesse against Balance, I need to watch out for Wandering Mimics. Primarily, that means shutting down the Tech II building, but I also need to watch out for Owl+Circle->Mimic. I do want to make use of Plague Labs, but right now I need the extra draw power more.

@Nekoatl GG and WP! When the fencers came out, I was like omg I’m totally screwed. Funny thing is when you said you had one more thing that you want to try out, I was thinking okay this time it’s the fencers what to do what to do, and then a few days pass by, I totally forgot about the fencers, the image of Disease and white starter was so strong, Finesse felt like it was out of nowhere… Really interesting games, and now I fear the power of white starter + Finesse. I’m down for more games if you’d like.

GG. Yeah, Virtuosos are scary, and White starter is scary, so both at once is double-scary (and at this rate, it might take both the 1st and 2nd place slots in the tournament). I was tempted to switch to Neutral starter for Tenderfoot, Bloom, and Wither, but I figured White would be more useful overall.

I’m game for more. You can take another shot at this build if you want, or I can choose something else if you prefer.

I’d love to take another shot, I will start as P1 this time.

Thoughts

Oh man, this would be a great time to have my Grappling Hook. Since I don’t have it, I have to choose between dropping another unit to protect Grave from a Mimic rush, or getting my Tech II up on schedule. Since Grave’s already mostly burned himself out, I think I’ll accept the trade and go for the tech-up. I considered using Sensei’s Advice to keep that Fencer alive for more board advantage, but considering I expect to be able to replay it with haste for $0, I don’t think spending the $1 and the card now is worth it.
