[Casual] Nekoatl [Ninjutsu]/Blood/Future vs charnel_mouse [Demonology/Disease]/Discipline

P1T4

Starting hand: 5

Deteriorate
Soul Stone
Pestering Haunt
Sacrifice the Weak
Gargoyle

Thoughts

Yuck. I’ll just try to whittle Nekoatl’s board down as much as I can. Putting Soul Stone on the Skeleton Javelineer isn’t ideal, but if Neko isn’t careful it’ll be able to run into Setsuki and half-kill her by itself. Shame I don’t have the gold to do that this turn while building a Tower.

Teched cards: 2

T2: Gargoyle, Soul Stone
T3: Crypt Crawler, Dark Pact
T4: Abomination, Gorgon

Ah, I missed the Grappling Hook. I’m tempted to just GG here, let me think about it.

Yeah, I’ll fold here. Opening with Jandra was a mistake. Want to go again, or shall I try something else?

I’m fine with either, though I don’t have another deck that I’m more interested in than this one at the moment. But yeah, I agree T1 Jandra opening is hard to make work.

I’ll stick with this one for now, then.

Sounds good. Let’s see if I can manage to avoid getting bowled over like in game 1. GL HF!

Thoughts

Ugh, Grappling Hook in my starting hand again. That really hurt me in game 1. What else can I do, though? I guess I can try opening with Flagbearer, if it doesn’t die to StW, it’ll provide protection against Deteriorate.

Sorry for the delay. GL, HF!

Thoughts

Best counter to discard is card draw, and Setsuki can provide. There’s not really a tech I card I’m super interested in right now, but Shuriken Hail could help Setsuki claim some levels… if it’s not played around. In which case, it may be a good idea to builde my Tech I now as a feint.

Starting hand: 4

Pestering Haunt
Jandra, the Negator
Sacrifice the Weak
Summon Skeletons

Thoughts

Summon Skeletons is looking better than Jandra to play here, but Neko teched in Shuriken Hail in an earlier game, so I not as sure of it as I would be otherwise. Maybe I use Sacrifice the Weak to leave Setsuki on her own? Then I might as well throw the Javelineer at her first, and Imp could put her to 1 health without dying itself, so Neko’s caught between putting units down and healing up Sets.
