I guess he was just waiting until he could protect it. Makes sense. Would be really nice to have Deteriorate right about now. I don’t see an efficient way to attack, so I’ll turtle up and prep for Discord or Fencers. I’m not sure what else to tech, so I’ll just rush Skeletal Lords. I’m going to want to use them proactively, so doesn’t hurt to take them early, I guess.
ok… he really forces me into discord I thought, he’d try something else to avoid discord. But looks like he’s going full skeletons… build tech 2 to let it be destroyed?
I guess it’s possible, though I’m not confident about that.

Thoughts
Got super lucky not drawing either Lord yet. Teching Necromancers because they synergize well with everything I’m using. I’ll either break the Tower or his Tech II, but I can only get one of them. The Tower’s more expensive to replace and taking it down allows me to attack more freely, but how worried should I be about that Tech II? I don’t mind the Haste, and I could even live with trashed workers now that my Tech II is up, but haste + stealth is a bit worrisome… that’s almost certainly going to mean a broken Graveyard, and I’d rather lose the Haunt than the building. Especially since it’s maybe about to die to a Discord anyway.

Not really sure what I should tech here… guess I’ll go for tech III units in case I manage to collect enough Skeletons to summon one. I’m fairly happy with my board state, but I’m still worried about his Anarchy units. Don’t have enough strength to push through right now, though.

It does stack, but it doesn’t affect newly created units. When the first Discord resolves, my Haunt and Collector will die, and the Necromancer will make 2 fresh 2/2 Skeletons. The 2nd Discord will kill the 4 patrolling Skeletons, but not the 2 new recruits. I assume this doesn’t affect your turn?
no, that’s what I thought. actually I didn’t even think about the effect of the second discord on the new guys. should be gg anyways? but at least Sensei had his big moment… you couldn’t resummon garth with a hasty resurrector from cool down, could you?
Well, I’m not able to damage your tech buildings yet, and my Skeleton factory’s production has been interrupted, so I think you still have the potential to shut me down, but we’ll see.

I should have considered a Tower, or played the 2nd Lord instead of the Necromancer… if he ambushes the Lord then follows up with Discord, it’ll really hurt. Also should have midbanded Garth instead of making that extra Skeleton… I didn’t consider he might use both Discord to clear my patrol zone and attack with the Sensei. I’m glad he chose Garth to kill, though… my tech II units are more valuable to me for the time being.
Okay, I’m pretty sure there’s no way to recover from this… even the dreaded double Discord would probably just delay the inevitable, I imagine.

i thought, you were gonna try something else and play around discord at the beginning. the double bc put quite some pressure on me. if you’re still available for a rematch, i’ll post a turn later today or tomorrow. gotta slow down a bit, especially with a second game going on in parallel
GG WP. My plan was to try to limit myself to 2 Skeletons and patrol them as scavenger and technician until I could get Skeletal Lords out to protect a proper army. I figure, a gold is worth about the same as a card and about the same as a Skeleton, so if you spend $2 and a card to make me break even, that’s a nice economy swing in my favor.
I’m happy to keep playing as long as you are, at least until the next tournament starts. No rush, though.
An early Grave does mean I probably won’t need to be as concerned about Discord as early, but sparkshot and Hook make patrolling more difficult. I’m torn between going full greey and giving up both patrollers to sparkshot, or patrolling the token as SQL to make him work a bit harder for the kill. Guess I should prioritize board presence and keeping my cycle small.
