Thoughts

I hate being vulnerable to Pillage so I thought about playing a Spore Shambler. I still take the economy opening as an experiment to see how viable it is. Actually I could have just built my Tech 1. I edited that in.

This is a very passive opening and puts me in the reactive spot, but gives me the possibility (hopefully) to actually react to my opponent, since I’ll have some additional gold from turn 4 on. Not sure if it’s worth the damage I’ll take

Thoughts

Thought about putting down Ogre but with its attack requirement there’s too big of a chance for it to be not used efficiently next turn. Mad Man + Zane punishes his slow start and gives flexibility on my next turn - I can do a hero kill and have a maxband Zane or turtle up alongside Dog. Haven’t played Red in quite a while, let’s go Blood this time since we already had a head start on base.

Ah. I couldn’t have build Tech 1 Turn 1. I would have needed 6 workers :tired_face:. It’s certainly harder to play without the board in front of yourself.

Yikes, that’s right. And here I was waiting for a Young Treant play. PbF is definitely different from IRL Codex and takes some getting used to. It feels like playing another game entirely at times, due to how much more time you have to think things through.

Thoughts

Going all out on the crazy, here. Heroes’ Hall so early Drakk can do some Frenzy/Haste goodness and help keep his board reasonably-sized. Crash Bombers - especially hasted ones - help my gameplan, and Rickety mine just seems fun to try out, especially with him also doing economy.

The gold! Growth can get explosive fast, so Tech II over base. Keep up offense with Crashbarrow and Ogre Recruiter to take advantage of Drakk maxband. Plan for Maximum Anarchy + Bugblatter when his board gets overwhelming.
