[Casual] GBudee vs Dwarddd

Fancy combo was way too fancy, and after failing to get plasmo out early i lost board presence :frowning:
Rambasa twin costs 4 but neither twin on their own is worth 4g, so i wanted to temporal distortion it into a different 4g tech 1, and baron is the only such card so that fixed all 3 specs
Other ideas were that all 3 heros r decent (2xcombat hero) so metamorphosis is always on the table and flickering a rambasa with Max rehires the second one
Good to know someone will read my thoughts, will continue to include them in next game!

I think I’ll probably just go centaurs here, since they evade forgotten fighter, and I have P1 to potentially use overpower tempo. Next turn might just be buffing prospector out of nullcraft range, and holding the line with L3 Cal.

You know, I bet that deck would be significantly stronger with the White starter, for Snapback. Plus the white starter is so oriented around maintaining board tempo, which seems pretty good for a Tech I combo.

so present is well countered by Balance, kinda knew that but it seemed most likely to let me comeback last game past or future? i haven’t tried past in a while, that means i want cards, don’t need money so much… as for shorter term problems i can’t see any way to keep a hero alive if they have rampant growth other than FFing merfolk prospector but then forest favour would let cala kill and get levels

Thoughts

Prospector will be hit for 1, but then it will hopefully trade nicely as a 2/1 for ~2g next turn. I’m pretty sure I’m going growth, but beyond that… I guess Verdant tree might let me accelerate tech II and hopefully beat the hyperions to board. I expect Origin Story to be teched by now, so I’m ignoring any Cal synergies except maybe for tiger fetching.

hmm so i ended up teching a golgurt instead of a double time, i think simplest thing is best here with argonaut+tech2 thoughts on last turn as i forgot to write them: i have difficulty defending to due lack of units in hand, but can get one with Vir midband… should kill Cala to get levels then and i want to get merfolk with NC as i can’t allow them to get that rich ideally I’ll have vir and tech 2 both alive next turn but i think it’s unlikely! (for spectators, peek was NC)

Not looking good, teching a vprtoss emblem to try to counter the ancients and a rewind to give me a small chance of winning… if i take out huntress this turn with nullcraft then at least they have to pump centaur with runes a bit before it can kill, but centaur is actually a great carrier for runes with overpower so i guess I’ll leave the huntress alive and let it trade oh so nicely with my golgurt

I enjoy how a tree and some frogs is a powerhouse team in this game
