GG! That was a tense game, I definitely felt up against the ropes on T5-6. And the generally under-played Disease is turning up to be pretty awesome against White, kudos for trying it out.

Classic P1 opening. I feel like Grave is a bit more resistant to -1/-1 runes than Rook, and birds haven’t been giving me great value these past couple of games. I might try a more stall-y approach this time, since Disease seems better at turning bad board states around than capitalizing on good board states.

okay, so orpal, sickness, spreading plague is really good at clear his stuff…until mind parry monk comes out. then he protects that guy, and all hell breaks loose.

i think this game i need to go with Gargoyles. i saw them used pretty well in another thread, and they can definitely cause some chaos. i can still come back to proal if i want, but for now, im going gargs, and trying to have a strong board presence overall.

if vandy survives, i can bring in a souls stone, if not, i can block with theiving imp.

Thoughts

I’ll definitely lose Sensei next turn, but I think it’s worth it to get the hero kill. Pity I can’t play a card with that.
Teching stuff that will hopefully help me deal with sickness runes, since, on further reflection, classic stallers like Boulder or IPN are super-vulnerable to StW.

Black vs Purple thoughts
-Purple obviously has huge tech 2 advantages with geiger, tri’s, and hype’s. Need to try and throw off his draw cycle, and break his tech 2.
-expensive tokens or tech 0’s without immediate value are out of teh question. aka, stewerdess, aka play Theiving imp, and run him into SQl next turn.

  • no graveyard because of assimilate
    -MAYBE a skeletal archery later once i have boosted Sk’s already out.
    -watch out for seers and battle suits boosted those KOTC.

Plan
-Hooded executioner can deal with heavy units. tech in 2 to try and kill an Argo, or stewardess on turn 4.
-vandy is best hero for early game since he doesnt have strong hero play early.
-tech 2 - probably go for skeleton army, have multiple targets, etc…
