My Thoughts

Ideally getting Golgort down now would be good, so I’ll try for that with Vir. If it fails nbd, I lay Stewardess and max protect blocking to keep the tech 2 alive. I’ll float a bit in the interest of TR diggin up a combo for Rememberer, or using OS + Golgort without loosing draw momentum too much.

My Thoughts

Well this is odd, but I think the actual ideal move here is to get battle suits, use OS, and clear his board entirely. Discipline has no haste so all I would sweat is SotF, but he’s been focused enough on Grave that Reversal is more likely. The other plus of Battle Suits and no T2 unit is I get to keep Mox :wink: I do want a Shimmer Ray now though, in case of YLD. He skipped worker so I’m in pretty good shape, I could match to keep Fargo alive w/ Time Spiral but I don’t think that’s necessary. Next turn I can lay some cover and tech up, or just go hard with rememberer, depending on what I draw.

Damn it, Prynn! I should have sword-sweeped the Fading Argonaut.

Well, Grave wasn’t killed, so I can bring him back in immediately if I want, and might recover before TPOS appears. That would mean I can’t bring in both the IPN and the Dragon, though. I haven’t seen any air yet, so I’ll take the IPN and see if I need the Dragon, hopefully I can get rid of the Nullcraft before revealing I have it. Bringing in Setsuki as a blocker, with that Battle Suits up there could be a lot of damage heading my way.

Snapbacking Prynn would have been nice, but I can’t afford it, can’t attack afterwards to capitalise on it, and she could come back for Origin Stories by the time Grave can maxband again.

Teching up would probably work fine, but I don’t want to risk patrol shenanigans and have IPN bust through to break the tech 3. I could just do maxband Prynn and kill stuff without taking the free levels, and still have money for tech 3, but honestly why not take the free levels and get massive board position right now? I don’t need tech 3 to end things, might as well take the advantages where I can get them. I still have a fine opportunity to tech up next turn if I so choose.

You did a nice job of keeping me on the back foot, I had to pivot away from the tech 3 rush I was trying to do in order to avoid getting board-wiped. I’m not sure Discipline was the right call, though. Against Past you probably wanted Ninjutsu for Porcupines and GNs, who can bring better unpredictability.

Well played!

I felt very uneasy for most of the game, Purple taking big floats and not putting any teched units down is pretty unnerving! You can see my remarks about the spec choice. I went Discipline for Training Grounds to mitigate the effects of Origin Story, since I’d teched in a lot of cost-3 cards for TPoS, but it wasn’t to be.

I might finish my game with zhavier and take a break, work’s a bit busy at the moment. Will definitely be coming back though, thanks for the games!
