Purple… well, outside of Water Elementals there’s not much I could do about Nullcraft. Or Mox, unless I bring in a Young Basilisk to go around it. Given Purple’s heroes, that might be a good idea. Maybe a Nature Reclaims if he goes heavily into using Battlesuits. There are a lot of things I’d worry about sitting in the back line. On the other hand, I don’t think Purple can spam too well, so some Overpower might be a good idea.

Whoops, forgot to build Tech 1. Well, I didn’t draw any Tech 1s this turn, at least. Nature Reclaims in case of Battlesuits. No point getting Galima or Owls if there’s a Nullcraft threat. I’ll bring in a Huntress, I’m not confident about my anti-air options at Tech 2. I’ll need to worry more about air if he goes Future, but at moment I’m tempted to go for Bears for more overpower and to deter any of Prynn’s nonsense, and bring in Argagarg for boosts.

My Thoughts
Mopping up the road in an effort to have overwhelming board force, especially with Battle Suits in the next hand. I could skip worker to pick up Panda + Tiger, kill Midori and refresh my Fargo, but I’d rather stay balanced (ha) and just play for teching up. Tech 2 Present is pretty hard to fuck up as a win condition, and I can get there really comfortably with what I’ve got

Oh boy, Stewardesses. Even more reason to get Bears. Their Resist makes Arg’s boosts not as reliable, so I’m planning to bring in Calamandra for Ferocity, Murkwood Allies, and her midband giving even more Resist.
Post-draw: My hand’s got nothing but tech 0 cards, but Young Treant has a good chance to draw something useful.

Young Treant gave me Nature Reclaims, perfect timing! If he’s going Present with Battle Suits, I’m assuming he’s going for Hyperions, so I need to keep 4/5s in mind for patrolling. He’s got enough gold for two.
Well that limits the damage I can do…

Well, I was prepared for two Hyperions, but not three. Time to block up again, until Calamandra’s spells come out next turn. The Nullcraft can’t hit the Basilisk, so from his current board he needs two units or the Hyperion to take it down.
Yeah present can bring a lot of Hyperion swings
Unfortunately with your tech 2 down, you can’t put down Bears or any other tech 2 units, and also are on the 1 hero limit

Ah, yes. OK, I’ve swapped the Bears out for a Tiny Basilisk, a Huntress, and Calamandra at midband, no Gold floated.
My Technician and Young Treant draws gave me nothing to work with (Young Treant /Huntress) so that’s me out. Well played! Some fantastic card cycling going on there with Geiger and Temporal Distortion.
Looking back through, your comment about trading Midori with Geiger is a good one, and something that hadn’t even occurred to me.The first tower was probably a bad idea, maybe I should have played Ironbark Treant instead, and then I’d have had a chance to draw straight into Bears too.

GG WP! I think mostly the toughest things for you were letting me get to tech 1 first, whiffing your turn 3 draw, and me having both Stewardess on turn 3 (lucky) as player 2 (so I had money to play both). Also think Cala would have been a better choice of hero over Midori early (for potentially getting the resist on everyone on turn 3). Ironbark would have just presented a convenient Stewardess target.
It’s good to have experience with how insane Present can be with swapping down “hasty” things, so you know to account for it. You did great to neutralize Battle Suits so that it wasn’t game-ending sooner though!
Want to swap sides and run it back?
Midori was out purely to neutralise Battle Suits, because I thought it might appear! I got a very lucky Treant draw on turn 5. For some reason I was expecting you to play Suits as soon as possible, though, so Midori just sat there for a few turns doing nothing, I could easily have brought Calamandra out in the meantime.
I’m up for swapping, did you want to go first this time?
Yea let’s do that (honestly I think both these decks do better against one another as P2). GL HF!

My Thoughts
Mox without Boot Camp is not something I’ve done lately, but I think I’ll try for a Tech1 Pressure strat (I’ve done it once before in person, you basically abuse time runes to just flood the board). That means I’m workering Plexus, which seems kinda weird but I think it’ll work out…
Weren’t we swapping? Edit: Ah, I thought by “swapping” you meant swap colours. Sorry about that!
OH you mean swapping decks? I meant swapping sides, but I’m good with swapping decks AND sides if you want to!
