Thoughts

I’ll peek in charnel_mouse’s hand to see if it’s safe to float and/or play new illusions, and for a chance to draw MTruth. Teching a couple of answer cards to help out in the long run.

Crypt Crawler means Aven gets workered. Deteriorate is a bummer considering I drew Hound. I could patrol it in lookout, I guess, but I’d rather put Tiny B there. I’ll use the rest of my gold to midband Quince and keep my backline safe. Then next turn I can MTruth something into Tiny B for a couple of kills.

I could instamax Garth and fetch a Potent B, but I’d rather peek at charnel_mouse’s hand and see if I can draw something useful. Even if I don’t, I have enough gold to play most of my hand + a Mirror/2nd hero.

That’s a pretty scary hand. I’ll need Free Speech to keep Quince alive and my Mind Control a secret. That would also let me safely drop Spectral Hound.
Since I drew MTruth, I could play it + Arrest to clear most of charnel_mouse’s board, but I don’t want to give free patrol goodies. So I’ll just wall up for now, and hopefully swing next turn with Mind Control + Potent B.

Killing the Abomination with my Gorgon is a pretty obvious response here. After that I can trade the Crawler with the Executioner and StW the Basilisk. Then maybe max out Grave to wreck Quince. Let’s see what the Gorgon draws, first. Teching Verstile Style in case of another Mind Control, and Death and Decay should be decent for neutralising Basilisks.

… Hmm, drew a Graveyard. I have 8 gold to make stuff happen, so I could either StW (3) then maxband Grave (4) with 1 gold left over, or I could bring in Orpal (2), StW (2), and maxband Grave (4), which lets me put levels on Orpal. I don’t think playing anything else from hand is as efficient.

Wow, Martial Mastery gave me Jandra back again. Wonderful. The good news is that I don’t have to worry about Tech III this turn, just a Faerie Dragon. I’ll just do what damage I can, and get as many units down as I can, no haste to worry about.

GG WP! I considered playing Newsman on #8 instead of Arrest, but I figured you’d be able to break my tech 3 anyway with the Gorgon loose.

Thoughts

Wow, that’s a lot of float. I’m assuming Dreamfire’s plan is to bring out Onimaru and level him immediately, so Poisonblade Rogue seems good for countering that. Crypt Crawler for sparkshot in case Lich’s Bargain or Peace fill the board with weenies, Reversal for if I need to move Onimaru or Brave Knight out of the way.
