Thinking about it the turn still works just in a different order. Since the Mimic has flying, Rook can walk under it to kill the Basilisk. At that point it loses untargetable, so the Archon can bounce it.
This game can be complex at times lol.
Edit: Oh God I just realized that, in the order I originally posted, Second Chances might have returned Sensei instead of Archon. THIS GAME. I think everything should be legal now.
Iām inclined to think this one is a wrap. Things were looking so good through 4 turns, and then they just went to shit.
Ah, I see you did Tech an Origin Story. On turn 4. Looking things over, I canāt really tell exactly how it got turned sideways on me. Maybe I relied on Circle of Life too often and for too long. After Turn 3 or 4 I should have already had a new engine in place ready to go, like MOLAC.
I donāt think there was anything wrong with your overall plan: just smashing with untargetable flying mimics is perfectly workable IMO and if youāre already ahead (as you were) you donāt necessarily need to go Growth and I think thereās a real risk in adopting a slower, more passive strategy after putting so much into getting ahead to begin with.
If I had been in your shoes, I probably would have gotten the Rhino with your first CoL: 7 attack (8 with mid-Midori!) is as good as deathtouch anyway plus you get all that health. Your turn 5 patrol letting me get a kill on Cal was a problem: if you had summoned and maxed Arg instead of Cal and CoL you wouldāve still had your anti-air unit but also a midori-buffed wisp, the young treant as a blocker, an extra card, AND an additional gold of float. Thatās a lot of upside. You definitely shouldnāt have workered T-Rex: he was your win condition and he could absolutely still turn the game if you had him in your deck.
All in all I donāt think there were any big mistakes from you (or, like, great plays from me) that swung things, just a few minor ones that compounded with some luck of the draw (me always having Senseiās Advice when I needed it most) that let me keep things close enough until my Archon arrived.
No problem. Iāve had strep, itās no fun. Iāll have a closer look at this in a few minutes and see if I can salvage a decent game after a horrible first turn.

Thoughts
Not often you can get away with building your tech 2 while still floating 2 but I think the boulder is JUST enough protection to keep my techs up and thatās all I really care about. I thought about bringing out Prynn here but Iād rather ensure I have her for Origin Story. He could be in real trouble if he canāt answer the birds ASAP. Did he tech taxman?
