Okay. So. What’s the cost of breaking Tech 1? Bloodlust on Crash Bomber, trade with Fargo, Drakk bops Mox, I play Bombaster. I go down to 3 cards, break Tech 1, 3/1 BRO, Mad Man, 1/1 Drakk, Bombaster in patrol. Nullcraft has three free kills but I can continue to push pressure. Or, instead of Bombaster, I can drop Rambaster instead. Then hmm. I can Bloodlust Mad Man and Crash Bomber to clear the patrol zone, and I have the ability to break with BRO and Rambaster. I can leave Drakk in SQL to protect both of them. I’m paying three cards to do that, but I think worth it because I can develop Rambaster pressure, and threaten Drakk frenzy ongoing. I also had a line where I maxed Drakk and used Crash Bomber with Drakk frenzy and maxband, but that meant skipping a worker bleh.

I don’t think I break T1 this turn, unfortunately. Alternately, I can play safer and claim the econ advantage here. Maxband Drakk, Crash Bomber, midband Drakk exhausts Mox, Bomber trades with Zombie and kills Elite. At that point the question is, do I kill the skeleton with Rambaster and trade with the Horror? Actually, that leaves Drakk versus Garth, Nullcraft, Mox…and that’s not terrible. 7 gold is enough to maxband Garth, unfortunately, but there’s not a lot of good Tech 1s that can be dropped with Garth Maxband. I’m okay with this. Getting the worker advantage will be huge here. And while Drakk is probably dead here, I have Lobbers and Zane to keep the board next turn. Getting worker advantage will be huge here.

What’s my most devastating blowout turn? Max Zane, shove someone into something, idk? Glaxx actually makes things super awkward here, can’t just stuff something in Scavenger with Zane ability. Probably better not to waste Zane on this. Jaina plus Lobber is 3 gold, tower is 3 more gold. Or we could Jaina, Lobber, Tech 2 for 7 gold total. That’s interesting! Firebird was neat but I don’t think we have the necessary advantage to use it. My big worry now is Flagstone, naturally, and a mega-nullcraft. Firebird is a doozy of a payoff, hmm. It may be the one thing that can deal with Flagstone unit spam, although Nullcraft is a devastating wincon at this point. I feel like I threw last turn. In two turns, I have to have something earth-shattering because next turn SUCKS. So, Tech 2.
Shoddy Gliders can bomb the base for face damage. 13 HP to chew through. 6 from Shoddies, 2-3 from Crash and Drakk, 3 from Flame Arrow. Still short a little bit, buh. So I need something that isn’t straight burn. (Future notice: absolutely tech Taxman against Purple Peace). I hate relying on Charge/Drakk for haste but…Molting Firebird IS a powerful option. Hotter Fire is also a tempting way to win a burn race.

Hmmm. Maxband Zane doesn’t get me much but it does bust up the Patrol Zone. 7 gold for Zane, bop Cadet into Lookout or Elite, Zane kills Fargo, Mad Man kills Cadet, I have Lobber available to uh deal 2 damage I guess. The interesting thing here is that Drill Sergeant doesn’t exactly threaten things as much here. I wonder if Detonate was worth teching here. Well, no matter. File that away for the future.
Drakk Bloodlust may be promising. Throw a Zane at the Fargo, then Drakk, Bloodlust, Lobber, Mad Man. Which can kill…Garth. Tech 2 still dies. Garrison stays up. I stay alive.

Yeah, I didn’t have enough gas/recklessness to beat down your tech 2. Good start, couldn’t keep it going. I was really kicking myself for my Tech 1 unit choices.
bloodlusted crash bombers are scary dudes, it coulda worked out, and you did beat me down a bit, but yea, i can see how gunpoints woulda been handy, nullcraft value adds up quickly when left alone.

Oh yeah the bombers were great, it was the Lobbers that I think were my mistake. I also needed to have access to something with 4 attack (i.e. Bloodlust Taxman).
