My Thoughts
Yep, moving forward with LB, I spose if I draw both I play both, but otherwise I get one and tech up to blood! and if I get zero… well let’s not think about that
…
UGHHHH I don’t even know… I guess I flood skeletons and graveyard? WOOF
This sucks lol… I think I mid Garth, kill the SQL, try to dig up LB with Jav? Yeah, tech barrow and … nether drain? Crash Bomber? BC/HE? I think Bomber, could use a little weanie to block with that also helps clear his weanies
…
UGH BOTTOM DECKED BOTH LBs. Worst luck finals .jpg lol. Okay, I guess I make a skeleton and grab one of them? Then Det the lookout, patrol against FF as best as possible, LB again next turn and tech up? I think that’s the play
… AND I DREW Grave + Barrow out of sync, man this is not my tournament ending LOL
Would be really nice if I had the crashbarrow in the next hand… or deteriorate in this hand so I could kill SQL and maxband Garth for another unit… but I spose I make 'em think I’ve got the big tech2 drop coming, hope for no nullcraft or Doom Grasp or something, and see what we can do!
Crashbarrow kills Glaxx, overpowers 2 to your Garth, you get 1g
Lich’s Bargain, my base to 8 workers to 6, horde arrives (2)
Bloodlust Plexus and my new skeleton, skele kills your Garth, Drakk to level 3 (0)
Zombie hits your base to 13
Plexus dies of lust (perhaps for Fargo? are they an item?)

My Thoughts
let’s go HARD XD Bloodlust makes this a pretty killer turn, though I spose Crashbarrow could have been also highly killer (and BC or graveyard would have been fine also). I think I should have the game now
I’ll concede, I can’t stop that much horde. I probably should have made my own horde last turn, but alas, here we are. LB is definitely the required card for this matchup.
Yeah LB is just far and away too strong. It’s telling that the person that bargained more won here in our three or four or however many games we played lol.
Bomber, you say nerf garth and vandy all the time… cause black in general has too much going on. Base damage is overvalued for most matchups. The only specs that can really punish taking base damage are blood and fire and to a lesser extent anarchy, and we already know that red vs black is decently balanced because of this.
If we do go ahead with the “suggested nerfs” tourney in the fall, you’ll get your wish XD (and I will probably buster out early, my Garth and Vandy love is too ingrained LOL)
In a shameless plug for more people to test it with us, I’ll point out that the goblins and Cat’s maxband in Ugly for Grey (made by @dwarddd and I) are also partially designed to punish having your base on low health or benefit from incremental base damage
Though bad tech II does maybe synergise with the horde, so nor sure how grey/black fully interact.
There are other specs that can punish base damage: Feral and Ninjitsu, for example. The problem is that they need to keep board presence to do it, and maintaining board advantage is exactly what Black takes base damage to do.
