Thoughts

I think I have to break Tech 2 again, I think I can actually race gunships here. Or I can midband Drakk (5), Zane + Lobbers clear out the non-skeletons, Jaina trades Garth and maxbands Drakk, summon GPT, or maybe GPT kills a patroller to steal the gold and let me worker. I like this better, and the nice bit is that Recurring Crashbarrow is not possible here due to Graveyard limit. Next turn is gonna be rough, though.

Thoughts

Main question here is whether I can destroy the Tech II. I’d need 9 attack. Options, with (attack) for (gold):

  • Shoddy Glider, 3 for 1
  • Unit from Graveyard, 3 for 2 if using Bloodlust
  • Zane + Surprise Attack, 8 for 7
  • Zane, 2 for 2
  • Midband Drakk, (# attackers i.e. up to 3) for 3 if Drakk already played
  • Thieving Imp, 2 for 3 if using Bloodlust, plus card drain
  • Drakk + Bloodlust, 2 for 4, plus whatever Bloodlust hastes

Surprise Attack excludes doing anything with Drakk, so I’d be locked in to Surprise Attack + Shoddy Glider for attack. That requires wasting a lot of damage when killing Drakk, so I’d only kill Drakk and destroy Tech II, and only have a unit from the Graveyard on board afterwards.

Drakk + Bloodlust is more flexible. Bloodlust on Shoddy Glider or Bone Collector kills Drakk without waste. Say we Bloodlust BC, trade with Drakk, my Drakk hits level 3, I have 4 gold left and can hit something else with Bloodlust. That could be Drakk or Skeleton Javelineer to help Shoddy Glider destroy Tech II, or I put it on Glider and midband Drakk for Glider to destroy Tech II on its own. Or I hit Carpe’s Taxman with it, but then I don’t destroy Tech II, and I haven’t seen a Tech II unit at all so that makes me a bit nervous. I think the best option is to put it on Drakk, then play Shoddy Glider and destroy the base, then I have 3 gold left to play Thieving Imp. Destroying Tech II and leaving Carpe on 2 cards when all his heroes are dead should be pretty devastating.
