Eh, one Taxman is more manageable than two, I guess, but Zane’s causing real problems. Should have gone for the Basilisk. I’ll bring it in now. I’m going to risk not killing the Dog: it means I’m facing more damage on Legion’s turn, but if I can keep him at a lower hand size I might get some more time to stabilise. Crash Bomber in Elite is awkward, but I can’t afford to keep feeding Legion extra gold, and I really don’t want to let him get back to hand parity. He can easily kill Rook here if he wants to, but I could bring Drakk out to help the Bird kill Zane, then play a hasted unit from hand.

Yes, for any retroactive (post-draw) correction, you should technically re-do any future unknowns (like single card draws or discard/draw steps), so as not to have your future draw influencing the retroactive fix decision.

I think I want to tech the following, in no particular order: Ogre Recruiter (for runed units), Kidnapping (for Blooming Ancients), Nature Reclaims (to keep Legion honest WRT MoLaC), and Crashbarrow. So let’s say Crashbarrow and Kidnapping first, then Recruiter and Nature Reclaims can come in later once Legion’s had time to set up a bit and there are things to trash/steal.

I was thinking I could bring out midband Drakk, kill Zane with one bird, then have a played unit and the other Bird destroy the Tech II, but the only unit I have to do that is Spore Shambler, so I’d have to skip a worker and Tech II. That seems bad. I’ll just tech up and kill Zane.

… Crashbarrow but no Kidnapping, that’s OK.

8 defence + 5 for a Tech building, 13 total. Crashbarrow gives 7, Drakk gives 3, so it’s between Tiny Basilisk and Spore Shambler. Needs to be Tiny Basilisk to be able to overpower properly, I think.

Do I want the Prospector down, too? Zane can show up and kill Drakk whether I stick Prospector in the way or not. Oh, but if I put a Bird in scavenger and Prospector in resist, he has to pay 9 gold to to do it, if he doesn’t have Mad Man or Rambaster in hand. No, he can just shove the SQL Bird and kill the Prospector with his own Bird. I’ll just keep my hand size up. Maybe he’ll just shove the Birds and go for my Tech II instead.
