so next turn I have Battlesuits + Nullcraft, so If I go mox I have so little tempo/board presence I’m likely to just get push off the board, so Fargo seems like the better play this game. A hero should be safe, needs Charge Bro + Zane to kill, and that fine by me, so do I play around pillage by playing a hero, otherwise a 2 gold steal might set me too far back…
Bah, sparkshot… Battlesuits or nullcraft, and he can kill Rook in SQL. Play units, and he could wipe wipe my board. Play rook in back, and he can forgotten fighter to kill rook… Don’t play Rook and there’s no real harm, maybe some damage to my tech 1…
Gonna go for a slightly slower tech 2 then normal, build it on T4, rather than 3, just so I have slightly greater defences. With that in mind, I dont need to float gold here, and can start picking off his units with Nullcraft. Max Zane would wipe my board, but take up his entire turn (and has to push to scav to not skip a worker), which allows me a quick tech 2 then, so I’m fine with this. Not sure if Present/Future/Past yet, can choose next turn.

Need that tech 2 asap, next turn. If I patrol Stewardess in Tech there is a small chance I draw both tech 2 next turn (1/10 chance), but regaining the card loss would be really nice, on the other hand with scav I can tech 2, mox/argo and max Gegier for defence, which seems nice.
Funny, I would have been better off letting BRO return to hand for a 6 card hand and 3 in deck, instead of 5 and 4, cause hitting fargo was mostly irrelevant. Oh well. Now I don’t even need tech 2 next turn, I might as well clear some of his nonsense
I wonder what his plans are? Thats a rather expensive way to kill Geiger (which I’m fine with), and it means I still tech up first. No Hero’s hall mean I think hes still planning on teching up shortly, but I suppose with the reshuffle/draw 1 he doesn’t mind having it next turn… Wonder which tech 2 they have gone. Origin Story deals with max rook, and assimilate would be nice tech If i know hes going growth (just in case, I know how quickly that deck can activate MoLaC, esp with birds already out…

hmm, this is a tough spot I’ve walked into. max rook and hope he didn’t put origin in already, but if he did, he could break my tech 2. In lookout, he at least has to pay more for it. Leaves him with only 3g to do anything else. which with tech 2 present, means not many options.
BA is still really bad, but theres not much I can do right now. Either I can O story rook to get him off that max band/earthquake threat, or I can Pryn away the BA, but then the birds just kill Prynn, but my tech 2 lives a turn longer… Tower can help to start dealing with birds, but with the BA still here and Arg I think he has this in the bag, I need ways of getting them gone asap with just tech 1…

I got a bad redraw, so I have nothing to stop you overrunning me this turn. GG! @zhavier
I think that the approach I took this game was defo the wrong one, but with the chance that I have to run this back again against you I think I’ll keep my thoughts on that to my self at this time
Congrats on being the last person to not have a loss yet though
No worries on sharing your thoughts. That’s fair :). I’ll share mine though.
I am amused you proactively teched assimilate. I like that you think I am cheeky enough to risk Molac against assimilate. The swing assimilate would cause is just WAY too big when I can’t even remove upgrades.
Aside from that dead tech assimilate, it seemed like you followed the present plan to the letter. I’m just a little lucky. A ready or not there at the end could have done some small damage to me. The present engine is incredibly expensive but also worth it, and I had to eek out a little extra value to keep up by skipping workers, which was definitely hurting my consistency I think. I also ended up skipping tech 2 build because I drew the tech 2 early, which I think threw you off. Not throwing Vir out to have that much more blocking was probably calculated to prevent me from getting free levels, and the halfway decent chance I workered it. You could also have been thinking about assimilate still, I suppose. Speaking of, I had some really terrible worker choices this game. Almost half my workers I wish I could have kept and workered something else.
I thought my opening was pretty amusing. I was betting on the 50/50 nullcraft was in your first hand, where it would do little good as a response to musketeer. If musketeer had lived past t2, I would have been in a good spot to defend it with birds and cause some nice havoc, alas it was not to be, and instead was 2g for a card. Still, it was a fun line of play to consider.
