Using Deteriorate on the Scavanger with Graveyard in play might seem like a wash at first glance, but it prevents Garth from sacrificing it for a card and replaying it from Graveyard afterward. Given the vulnerability my units have to Black magic and Hooded Executioners, I’ll open with a hero-oriented strategy… which also enhances the value of my own Sacrifice the Weak.
Going beast mode with Vandy because I don’t see a better option this turn, though I’m worried about Nimble Fencer. On the upside, overreliance on units would mean an opportunity to pop his Graveyard. Tech’ing Mythmaking despite not having the funds for a Tech I; hopefully it’ll be in hand on turn 4 rather than turn 3.
