It occurs to me that he could skip a worker and end up with a max drakk and a still living jandra on the board. I could then respond with zane, and I think it would be neutral trade, maybe a little good for me… Lesson, don’t skip early workers. So, long term plan… I think present is problematic with kidnapping out there. I could try mind parry monk for once. But really, the safest thing would be gunships probably given my p2 status.

Heh, didn’t consider the zane play, but its almost the same result, skipped worker and a max hero. Znae is a less threatening maxband than drakk though, and I am that much farther toward gunships in the gunship race. I could throw out Geiger instead of Savior to avoid the sacrifice play, but 3g of his 5 to not even destroy my tech 1 is not that scary, especially when it means not putting down his own tech 1
Hmmm, having to avoid the sacrifice play is annoying. I suppose I could just roll with it and build tech 2, cause sac would mean maybe 6 damage to me. Nah, I can afford to let it go another turn. Grave or Tower or save the money… I want to attack, and I think grave will live, so lets go with that.

So, lots of stuff I need to kill if I want to keep my tech 3 alive. Snapback plus monkey is 1g more than I can afford and get tech 3. So in lieu of tech 3, what about board presence? my hand doesn’t really have anything for board presence, so that means heroes. Hmm, I could afford to bounce monkey with geiger and kill a second thing, or suicide my zane to kill a second thing. Barring that, I could do damage with just my zane, but he can retaliate with his unless I keep him from suiciding garth and don’t kill garth. I think I really like the snapback play though, even if I do end up way down on cards. Grabbing Martial Mastery to maybe help with the card draw. Geiger should also help.
Im in a tough spot. His likely response is garth and maybe zane, very likely has a crashbarrow in hand, or will draw it, 11g, -2 for garth, -3 for crashbarrow, 2 free levels to garth, -4g to maxband and throw that same crashbarrow, -2 for zane, 2 free levels for zane and a broken tech 3 using the javelineer. Alternative: He just grabs 2 shoddy gliders and breaks my tech 3 and figures out what to do with the rest of his time. Either way, he doesn’t get to break tech 2 and 3, that I can see, so I am still in this.

Can my tech 3 survive the coming onslaught. well one shoddy and one crashbarrow are gone, and I can at least kill both heroes. So, he has Drakk, and maybe shoddy/barrow. Drakk for 5 of 8, skellies deal 4, barrow for 7 or glider for 4, but not both, and barrow skips a worker, though he seems to be making that a regular thing. if I use monkeys to kill heroes I can defend with Zane. the barrow play breaks my tech 3 again but leaves him with just a drakk albeit max level. 3rd option is Drakk for 2, barrow for 3 and glider, barrow hits tech 3 for 1, 1 more to Midband and skellies and glider break tech 3 and 2. guess I will have to hope against that dream hand in draw 3 from a deck of 13. another reason to defend with Zane, sac the weak. it’s probably too expensive to be worth it though… He has 7 of his starter cards floating around still, 6 in deck. is it worth 2g and a card to keep the other monkey in play with sensei’s advice? nah, I’m gonna try and get back on cards a bit. I think I win or lose on this next turn.
