Okay so Necro/Blood/Truth… I think I’m almost definitely bringing in Stewardess to deal with tokens, and I don’t know that I’ll have time to set up a peace machine around turn 5 like I normally would. Trying to play “what would EricF do” I think I want my deck construction against him to be of the form:

Stewardess OCadet
Stewardess/OC Boot Camp
???

From there I’m not totally sure. I might want Detonate if it looks like I can’t reach a tricky graveyard, though the gold tradeoff there may not be good and he can always Quince copy Crashbarrows… Chaos mirror is basically always useful and scales well with Nullcraft… All I do know is I’m going to want tools for keeping him off tech 2 early game, and Boot Camp / Stewardess are probably my most effective means of that. Perhaps I will do something like

Vystari x2 / other OC
Seer Chaos Mirror
Garrison Sarge

Play for primarily Onimaru early game to pressure buildings and then tech up to peace machine a little later, having teched puny t1’s to spend light on gold while I’m working with Oni. Always tricky tightrope walk against Black starter though (seriously I want to start a tournament that bans black lolol… so sick of it)

Okay, this feels totally insane to skip tech 1, but seeing as I don’t need any tech 1 units this early, I feel like I can probably build a lot of momentum off an early midbanded Zane and double down units… Next turn I definitely tech 1, so that leaves me 3 gold to probably spend on Nullcraft / battle suits and hopefully go for a kill of some kind? It’s kinda funky and risky but it sure mounts some steady board pressure! Still want the OC and Stewardess to maximize my odds of drawing them turn 4 for use
