Sensei-Grave into Saviour Monk sounds legit. Flagbearer can sit this one out.

@Zango’s turn!

Fun to you too and GL as well!
I was really looking forward to this mirror match. I just realized today, that being P2 in this mirror really sucks :sweat_smile:

Yeah, it should be an interesting match!

Seems okay to attack Rook even from the squad leader position. He could use Grappling Hook to trade out and kill Grave, but Rook would die too so that 's okay. Going for Twins and Sparring partner means I probably won’t keep up the pressure next turn.

puh, both Tech1 choices in T3 is hard. Without the twins for myself that would have been harsh… I’ll invest the float to ensure that eventually both twins return to the codex, even though that puts a big crosshairs on Rook.

Very difficult what to do with Rook. With birds it’s so tempting to deal 3 damage to tech 2, but then midband grave would kill him, I think this is the better way… Unfortunately…

So much mirroring! It’s tempting to get a surplus here, but it’s probably important to keep Rook and the Bird’s Nest around in case of Young Lightning Dragons. Of course there’s always snapback… but if I can get Whitestar Grappler out before the dragons I can deal with them that way.

@Zango’s turn!

Yeah, lol. Happy to have decided to go for a different spec, though. So I’m at least somewhere breaking the mirror :wink:

That birds nest is surprising, so no pre teched tech2. That leaves a maximum of 4 tech2 cards in his current cycle, but with his hand size still up and running with all my technician kills, that’s not going to be a problem for him.
It’s just too tempting to empty my hand, even though the risk is high that the next turn then has nothing of interest in my hand.

@OffKilter friendly poke

Yikes! I may have to learn some proper discipline after this match!

Yikes! I am in trouble now. I can’t quite kill a hero, but I’d better maxband Rook to save him from Graves’ sword. I should have tech’d DeGrey earlier… I didn’t think the birds would be so annoying! At least the tower can deal with the birds, and maybe weaken some others.

Wow, Rook still died! At least I can speed of the fox to take out setsuki, but that dragon will have revenge surely. This is rough. Even though it’s likely a sparring partner will survive, it’s unlikely that a doubling barbarian will be in my next hand. And he’ll have maxband rook next turn! Yikes…

@Zango’s turn!

1 Like

You have to pay 1 for attacking setsuki :wink:

Of course! I’ll skip the worker then…

Though I think I’ll concede. There’s no way I can come back, and if you kill my tech 2 there’s not many cards in my deck that I can even play!

GG, I hope it was as fun as you were hoping. I certainly learned a lot :slight_smile:

@FrozenStorm

1 Like

Thanks! That speed of the fox really got me here! I think I probably would have preferred to kill setsuki over tech 2, as i really fear the card draw (and snapback being the last card in my deck, so it not being in my hand)
It’s been the first time for me to go for discipline tech 2 and it felt awesome! Definitely was fun this game!

Woah mate, you had the grappling hook in T2!
I was so ballsy to gamble on you not having it… You could have moved Rook away from SL to kill him with midband grave buffed by AS, then the whole game looks completely different!
You could have even moved him to technician to mess with my next cycle, as I then definitely will not have any teched card for quite a while…
