Thoughts
My deck is lettucemode’s deck from RACE 3. It has some good stuff going on: a nice mix of spells capable of answering almost any threat, Grave + some efficient tech 1 guys, and a solid tech 2 plan in Disease that combines well with my good spells. It looks like I can really jund 'em out, so to speak.
Kaelii’s deck is a deck I’ve played against in the hands of petE a couple of times. The typical game plan is to play Rook + Birds early, then use Zane + Sharks to turn on MoLaC. I’m curious to see if Kaelii will play the deck differently. More generally speaking, seeing how different people use other people’s decks is one of the most interesting things about this tournament. Unfortunately, I won’t get to see how other players play my decks, since I’ve played Demonology in the last few tournaments.
I feel pretty good about this matchup. Disease is pretty good at beating small units, I have a robust enough game at tech 1 that I’m not worried about getting beaten down, and I have Versatile Style to stop MoLaC if necessary.
This is an unusual split. I’m leading with Jandra here because my next hand doesn’t have units that can block, so Jandra can hopefully either stick around or make him spend most of his resources. She’s in Scavenger because Kaelii could kill her in SQL with Zane anyway and the extra gold is enough to let me play Orpal + Summon Skeletons and build Tech 1 if she dies (barring Pillage).

The plan right now is to build Disease Tech 2 next turn. Plague Spitter is conveniently good against both Rook and Birds, while Sparring Partner is a cheap guy who can add a lot to the board if he sticks around. I want Sickness, but I’m in the weird territory where if I played Orpal, I’m not sure if he would live, but by playing Grave this turn, I’m not sure if he’s going to die to make room for Orpal. The units aren’t quite as good but are more reliable for turn 3.
