I think discard Jail is OK here, it would just push FrozenStorm towards Skeletons. Yeah, I have Judgement Day if I really need to counter that, but drawing it isn’t reliable. Traffic Director in Elite should be fine here, trades with Imp and can’t be picked off with Deteriorate.

The obvious problem here is Midori, with Nature Reclaims making it too dicey to do Lobbers into Might of Leaf and Claw. Blooming Ancients are still an option, but I wondering whether I’m better off going into Fire instead, for the crowd control against Necromancy or Truth. Jaina is also looking nice, for similar reasons. Lizzo can take out a non-illusion Macciatus from anywhere, too, nice to have an ability like that that isn’t just for patrollers.

Bone Collector and Spectral Hound are nasty Tech I units that I might struggle to deal with. Firebats might be the way to go here, since they match them on stats and can pop illusions / buildings later. I think Porkhand Magistrate is OK here, for similar reasons.

I don’t think I can stand against all of that while teching up, but I’ve got another turn before I reshuffle anyway. Even without teching up, it’ll be rough. Arrest, Porkhand, and Bigby can disable / pop things, but Frozen can still have the Mirror copy a 3/3 to attack my Firebat, and Haunt or Imp can help to kill. I can’t afford all of that anyway, even if I don’t pay the resist cost for targeting the Hound. However, if I don’t sideline with Bigby he can patrol in front of the Firebat, and with the Bone Collector disabled he still kills any attacking units, while hopefully protecting my Firebat so I can take out the Graveyard. He doesn’t kill a 3/3 Mirror, but that’ll die at the end of his turn anyway. Bigby will likely die, but then I can more easily bring out Jaina later to burn things.

I definitely want Ember Sparks here to deal with illusions / Skeletons. Bamstomper Lizzo should be good to thin down Frozen’s board, and to stand against 3/3s in Squad Leader.

Jail would be nice to slow Frozen down, especially if he goes for Truth, but, if I’m using Jaina, then I want to hang onto Reputable Newsman, to block Free Speech.

That’s a really good draw for Frozen. I absolutely need to take down Macciatus here, but with the Graveyard still out I don’t think I can. I’d need to a) kill Flagbearer, b) kill Macciatus, c) destroy Graveyard, so 3, 3, and 2 damage. I can only afford two damage sources, due to the Flagbearer being in Lookout, otherwise the Firebat could have finished off the Graveyard for me. In retrospect, 1 gold for the Magistrate to prevent a single Skeleton spawning wasn’t a great tradeoff if I could keep the Firebat alive, but I’d forgotten to account for how expensive Lizzos are.

Only thing to do now is tech in Judgement Day and pray.

If I had an extra gold, Firebat could have finally burned down the Graveyard for me! As it stands, I have nothing to deal with the ensuing illusion horde. GG!
