[details=Thoughts]Okay, here’s another matchup I can spend scared of Kidnapping for the whole game, no matter if it is actually in play or not.
Looking back at zhavier’s previous games he seems to favor a Blood based approach supported by varying Tech I choices and the very nice and flexible spell lineup that his spec combination offers.
I expect him to go Blood again this game, as Growth is quite good for dealing with Truth.
I have considerable problems coming up with a good response to this board.
My first instict of Tiger Cub + Arg dies to StW and leaves him so far ahead, we might as well stop playing right there. Tiger Cub + Playful Panda has the same problem.
The only thing I can come up with that doesn’t die to this board if he has StW is a 3/4 hero in Squad Lead (he doesn’t have the 6 gold for Drakk midband as P1, otherwise I’d consider this opening close to unbeatable). Thankfully I have Forest’s Favor in hand so I can use that instead of midbanding Calamandra. I should be able to pick up a good trade with Calamandra in the near future, but I shouldn’t rely too much on her as it also makes her a very juicy Doom Grasp target.
A likely response is Jandra in Squad Lead while building a board with Drakk or Garth.
